Andrew Bertell

As a licensed clinical social worker practicing since 2009, I provide psychotherapy for adults, young adults, and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. My approach is grounded in modern psychoanalytic principles, complemented by training in various therapeutic modalities and informed by developmental psychology, mindfulness, philosophy and spiritual traditions.

Clients seek my practice for support with anxiety, depression, addiction, overwhelm, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, life transitions, and the pursuit of greater creativity and authenticity. In our sessions, we explore your present experiences and how your reality takes shape, honoring your personal goals while examining your inner landscape and our therapeutic relationship.

My qualifications include University of Chicago graduate training, specialized training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, fellowships at several psychoanalytic institutes, and ongoing training at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies.

***I accept two insurance plans: WellFleet and Johns Hopkins EHP. For all other plans I am an out of network provider. For those with out of network coverage, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
